A Decade of Dreams: Celebrating the GEC Class of 2025

As I reflect on the GEC Class of 2025, our home is once again filled with the joyful chaos of graduation season. Each day brings new graduation announcements from clients, neighbors, and friends. This year marks a special milestone: it’s been 10 years since we began supporting students in their college journeys through Golden Educational Consulting—10 years of dreams, decisions, and incredible growth.
But this class holds a deeper significance for me personally. Many of these students and families have been part of our lives for more than 10 years—some since elementary school—growing alongside our own children and becoming part of our family. We are proud to be a part of their story, and celebrate them in this season of graduations.
Highlights from the GEC Class of 2025:
Global Destinations
Our students will be attending 32 different colleges and universities, reflecting an impressive range of interests and ambitions. This year’s class is also our most global yet, with students heading to campuses across the U.S., as well as Ireland, France, and Scotland.
In High Demand
GEC students continue to stand out. On average, our seniors received over $15,000 in merit aid—$3,000 more than the national average, according to U.S. News and World Report. These awards recognize not just academic excellence, but the well-rounded, thoughtful applications our students put forward.
A True Family Affair
One of our greatest honors is being invited back to support younger siblings of former GEC graduates. This year, we had the joy of working with nine such students—proof that trust and long-term relationships are at the heart of what we do.
Inspiring Journeys
This class includes first-generation college students, young people who have overcome personal and academic challenges, and those recognized for excellence in the arts, sciences, athletics, and service. Each one is heading into the world with purpose and potential.
To the GEC Class of 2025: your courage, adaptability, and determination have not only gotten you here—they will carry you forward. As you step into this next chapter, know that all of us at GEC are so proud of you. We’re cheering you on now and always.
