Welcoming Teege Mettille to the GEC Family

Teege Mettille joins Golden Educational Consulting as our newest Educational Consultant

When we started this journey to introduce health-based college counseling to the world, we made a promise to our GEC families: our team of college coaches, essay specialists, and educators would not only have decades of experience in selective admissions, but each member of our team would demonstrate the highest personal character. Our GEC team members are not only good at what they do in expertly guiding students through their college searches, but they are simply good, big-hearted people.

It is in keeping with this promise that I am thrilled to announce that Teege Mettille will be joining the Golden Educational Consulting team as our newest Educational Consultant.

Teege is one of the most respected professionals in the field of admissions and enrollment management, having served a variety of colleges across his nearly two decades-long career including Northland College, Lawrence University, DePauw University (Indiana) as well as the Chief Enrollment Officer at Carroll University (Wisconsin). Teege has been at the forefront of his field as the founder of the Leading Colleges organization, a consortium of colleges and universities that are exceptionally student centric. Additionally, he oversees the annual Leading Colleges Awards process, identifying institutions throughout North America for outstanding service to students across four awards categories: ethical recruitment, retention, outcomes, and social justice. Teege is a sought-out and respected voice in the field, often presenting at national and regional admissions conferences, advising university leaders nationwide, and hosting the very popular Admissions Directors Lunchcast Podcast.

"I am so excited to be a part of the GEC team. Every year, it seems the stress level for students ramps up just a little bit more. The opportunity to help students through the college search process while reducing their stress and anxiety speaks to my personal approach to this work. I am looking forward to being part of a team that helps students find a college without losing themself in the process."

What we love most about Teege is how committed he is to putting students first in everything he does. He brings a depth of experience and a national admissions perspective to the GEC team and I know that our families will enjoy getting to know his educator heart and his signature sense of humor. Teege holds a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies as well as a Master of Science in Organizational Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He lives in Greendale, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee, with his husband Derek, and their 14-year old son, Logan. He is an avid skier, enjoys planning extravagant murder mystery parties, and just ran his first marathon this fall.

Please join me in welcoming Teege to the Golden Educational Consulting family!
