Golden Educational Consulting (GEC) is thrilled to welcome Ashley Alexander to our team of educational consultants—and equally excited to announce a new partnership with Sweet Tea and Soda Pop College Experiences, a company Ashley founded to reimagine the college visit experience.
Ashley brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education and college admissions, with a career rooted in helping students and families feel confident, informed, and inspired as they explore what's next. A proud alumna of the University of Central Florida, Ashley began her career in college admissions at UCF, where she discovered her passion for the campus visit experience—an area she’s championed ever since. Her approach blends deep knowledge with warmth, humor, and a steadfast belief that there is a right-fit college for every student—and that the journey to find it can and should be both meaningful and fun.

“I’m so excited to join the GEC team and to bring Sweet Tea and Soda Pop College Experiences into this new partnership. Dr. Thom and I have known and worked with each other for many years, and I’m looking forward to what we can build together to support students and families.”
Ashley lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with her husband Clay and their two sons—Brayden, who is heading off to the University of Tennessee this fall, and Blake, a rising high school junior. When she’s not working with students, Ashley can usually be found watching college sports, traveling, spending time with friends and family, or serving as an advisor to Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
We are so fortunate to have Ashley’s voice, insight, and enthusiasm on the GEC team – and we can’t wait to collaborate with Sweet Tea and Soda Pop College Experiences to help students explore campuses with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
Welcome, Ashley!
